What do you think?

EDITOR'S NOTE:

It's been a month since we opened our doors here at Protect San Jose, and we'd like to hear what you think about the site so far. What do you like? What do you dislike? What could use improvement? How should we improve it?

It's an open forum, so speak your mind. But remember the ground rules: keep it brief and keep it clean. The floor is yours...

  1. I like the site because I get a prospective that I don't read in my local newspaper. I understand that this site represents primarily the opinion of the POA and it's leadership. But I am impressed that you have dissenting views on this site as well.

I'd like to see Kathleen Flynn write more because I think the victim perspective is something we don't read or hear enough about.

  2. Fix your post comment/preview button it is not working right. You have to submit comments several times.
More personal stories from citizens would be good. I agree, I like Kathleen's stories.

  5. First, thank you for providing us with this website. Great job! It gives us the opportunity to read first hand the Police Department's side of things, and to comment on it.

I'd like to see you add:
A link of resources for victims of crimes like the Victim Witness Fund that helps victims recover financial losses due to medical bills, and loss of work.

A link to Denelle Fedor's non-profit, so we can donate to keeping our Mounted Unit intact.

Crime Stoppers "Crime of the Week."

A photo of missing children and people. I understand there is an elderly, ill man in Campbell missing.

Most importantly, I’d like to see the writers of these columns come back and answer questions asked by bloggers. I know that you have a word limitation on columnists, so writers taking the time to come back and answer questions would really help bloggers get the information they are seeking.

Again, thank you for the site and keep up the good work! Stay Safe Officers!

  6. Good job! I'm glad there is a another forum besides the local paper where members of the POA, as well as the public, can express our views!
